Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions contain legal obligations and Hidden Howth Limited – Trading as Hidden Howth Experiences encourages you to read them carefully. It is under these Terms and Conditions that bookings are made and accepted by Hidden Howth Limited. Unless otherwise stated, any purchases made through www.hiddenhowthexperiences.com are subject to these Terms & Conditions. When a customer makes a booking it will be deemed they have accepted the Terms & Conditions on behalf of all individuals included in the booking and consents to these Terms & Conditions by using www.hiddenhowthexperiences.com. No alterations or variations to these Terms & Conditions will be accepted unless agreed in writing by Hidden Howth Limited.

Accident or Loss

Please take care of all personal property. Hidden Howth Limited will not be liable for any theft, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to negligence by Hidden Howth Limited, in which case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury) for damages to a maximum of the refund of the ticket price.

Personal Safety

Each Customer is responsible for maintaining their safety at all times. By agreeing to take part on the tour, all Customers are agreeing to listen to the safety instructions given by the Guide and to exercise due care and attention whilst walking.

All participants should be aware of their own physical or mental limitations before attending a tour. People with medical conditions or who are pregnant are strongly advised not to participate in Hidden Howth Limited tours and must inform Hidden Howth Limited of the full nature of their condition before participating.

All participants are responsible for their own safety and well-being during the event. Hidden Howth Limited will do its best to ensure that participants safely attend a variety of localities and venues within Howth. However, Hidden Howth Limited events cannot mitigate every eventuality and as such, Hidden Howth Limited tours involve an element of possible risk. All participants acknowledge these risks and attend events of their own accord and solely at their own risk.

The participant agrees to indemnify Hidden Howth Limited (it’s employees, directors, suppliers, agents, distributors, representatives, etc) against any third party claims as a result of the participant’s behaviour and actions. Any damages or loss caused by a participant is solely the participant’s responsibility

Some Hidden Howth Limited tours include opportunities for participants to consume alcohol at their own discretion. Hidden Howth Limited urges all participants to drink responsibly and cannot accept any responsibility or liability if participants drink excessively, resulting in damages, ill health, injury or death.

All Hidden Howth Limited participants must be 18 years or older or must be accompanied by an adult. Only official identification will be accepted as proof of age and includes: Passports, driver licences, proof of age cards, etc. Unacceptable identification includes photocopies, student cards and other non-government issued identification.

Customer Conduct & Safety

Hidden Howth Limited may, at our discretion, require any person to be excluded from a tour if Hidden Howth Limited deems his or her conduct to be offensive or a nuisance to other Customers. Hidden Howth Limited also reserves the right to refuse access to participate on a particular tour should circumstances be deemed to compromise tour safety.

Photos & Videos

We sometimes take photos and videos of our tours. These may be used for marketing purposes on our website, social media, newsletters and through third party advertisers. On such occasions we will ask again for your verbal consent at the start of the tour and will not take your photo or video you if your consent is not given.

If you are keen to use video on the tour, ensure you ask the guide first. Overall, videoing the locations is fine.

TICKETS

Prices

The prices appearing on the website are the current rates and can change with no prior notice. Once a customer has booked a tour with Hidden Howth Limited, the Customer will not be required to pay any difference in the event of a price increase and Hidden Howth Limited will not refund the balance of any price reduction. All prices are per person unless otherwise stated.

Ticket Validity

Customers must bring their ticket confirmation to the tour. The Tour Guide will have a list of people who are expected, but your ticket will be required to confirm payment, and also necessary in the event of last minute bookings and/or booking error.

Cancellations by Customers

If you can’t do your tour due to the any COVID 19 travel restrictions. You will get a full refund or we can postpone to another more suitable date, otherwise policy is as below.
  • A cancellation fee of 100% applies for cancellations made less than 48hrs in advance, or in case of no-show.

  • A cancellation fee of 50% applies for cancellations made less than 72hrs in advance.

  • No cancellation fee applies for cancellations made 3 or more days in advance.

If you cannot make the tour on the date requested and you contact us with in 48hrs of your tour date, then we may be able to provide an alternative date depending on availability.

Cancellations by Hidden Howth Limited

In the unlikely event of a tour being cancelled we will offer an alternative tour date or refund. Cancellations of the tour usually only occur in the rare occurrence of fewer than three people booking onto a walk.

Arriving late for a tour

The tour will start at the time stated. The guide will not be able to answer their phone to give you directions you once the tour has started. If you call the office before the tour starts to explain that you may be late, we may be able to direct you to a place where you can join the group, but this is not always possible. We do not offer refunds to people who miss the tour because they are late. You are responsible for making allowance for any potential delays to your arrival.

Refunds

If you are not happy with the tour and would like to request a refund, please state your reasons clearly in an email to info@hiddenhowthexperiences.com. This does not include Customers who failed to turn up for their tour at the designated time or bad weather.
